Hi, I'm Ivette. Welcome to Thrive.
If you found your way here, there's a good chance you're somewhere in your forties or fifties and something has shifted. Maybe your body stopped responding the way it always used to. Maybe you've looked at your money recently and realized the plan you made in your thirties doesn't fit the life you actually have now. For a lot of women, it's both at once, and no one warns you that those two things tend to arrive together.
Thrive was built to help women navigate the seasons of life—from finances and the menopause transition to overcoming loneliness and reaching financial freedom.
So here's what this library is. Short videos, one idea each, in two tracks. One track is about your body, and the other is about your money. One track is about what's actually changing in midlife and what you can do about it. The other is about the questions worth asking when the old assumptions stop holding.
Don't try to watch everything. Pick the one thing that's been sitting on your chest at two in the morning, and start there. These are meant to be useful in ten minutes.
Two ground rules: nothing here is medical or financial advice. I'm here to help you understand what's happening and ask better questions. The decisions are yours.
If you're not sure where to begin, watch the next video. It's about why everything that used to work stopped working. I'm glad you're here. I will see you there, in the next video.
Questions this raises
What is the Thrive learning library?
A free collection of short video lessons for women in their forties and fifties, taught by Ivette Garcia, MPH, NBC-HWC. Each video covers one idea and belongs to one of two tracks: your body, or your money.
Where should I start?
Rather than watching everything in order, pick the one thing that has been sitting on your chest at two in the morning and start there. Each video is meant to be useful in about ten minutes.
Is this medical or financial advice?
No. Nothing in the library is medical or financial advice. It is education intended to help you understand what is happening and ask better questions of your own clinician and a licensed financial professional.
Ground rules. Nothing in this video or on this page is medical advice or financial advice. It is education. Decisions about your health belong with your own clinician, and decisions about your money belong with a licensed professional who knows your whole picture.
